We have a vacancy for a Driver Trainer – Bulk Liquids, based at our Wellington Branch. Reporting to the Fuels Manager, this position is responsible for leading the Linfox Bulk Fuels Training & Safety program. This business unit operates on a 24x7x365 basis delivering bulk fuel to Petrol Stations, Marinas and Airports.
The Trainer is responsible for the development, co-ordination and delivery of Operational Training (OPT) services with Linfox Logistics (NZ) Ltd. This role covers, but is not limited to the development and delivery of pre-employment assessments, annual driving assessments, DG training and assessments; compliance related training and specific job skills training. The Trainer must uphold the highest level of compliance and continually promote this within operations.
You will manage the Bulk Liquids Training & Safety program at a time of expansion and growth and be focused on achieving exceptional outcomes for our customers and our business.
The candidate will ideally hold a valid Driving Instructor (I) Endorsement, preferably have a Class 5 License and has completed relevant training qualifications or has completed 'Train the Trainer' type courses.

- ·Previous experience in the Fuels, DG or other high risk environments
- ·Strong transport operations understanding of how transport "works"
- Actively contribute to hazard identification and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and co-ordinate the regional training requirements to ensure the achievement of strategic objectives are met.
- Develop and implement strategies to meet identified regional training needs in consultation with management.
- Prompt reporting of accident/incidents to BP in a timely manner.
- Ensure the maintenance of training records and documentation of training programs.
You will need to be part of the emergency response team 24/7 which will include on call duty.
A relevant tertiary qualification is preferred but not a pre-requisite.
