About the Role

Our client is seeking a Procurement Manager to control all purchases of their imported and local products and services.
The successful candidate will have at least 2-3 years experience in a similar role, preferably within the food industry.
  
Key responsibilities will include:

• Determining the quantity of stock required and organising timing of deliveries to ensure stock is always on hand.
• Monitoring and forecasting upcoming levels of demand.
• Establishing, developing and maintaining business relationships between suppliers, manufacturers and internal departments and customers.
• Updating internal system on supplier costs, exchange rates, freight and landed costs, demand and forecasting on stock purchasing.
• Staying up to date on market changes that can affect the supply and prices of goods.
• Forecasting price trends and their impact on future activities.

  
To be successful for this role you must have the following:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the food industry.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, logistics and stock control.
• Highly organised with attention to detail.
• High level of communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Negotiation skills.
• Analytical – perform cost analysis
