This unique opportunity is with a well recognised provider of passenger, car and freight transport services operating in the Hauraki Gulf. The company is a strongly established feature of the Auckland maritime environment.
Reporting to the Maritime Operations Manager, the Maritime Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring the company’s vessels and crew are fully compliant with Maritime, local body and Health and Safety legislation.
Accountabilities include: the management of training plans, qualifications, SOPs and quality systems (including overseeing the implementation of a quality standards programme i.e. ISO9001); risk management and stakeholder relationships.
This vital role requires extensive applied knowledge of New Zealand Maritime and Health and Safety regulations, experience in implementing quality management systems and leading training/coaching in these areas.
