About the role
Reporting to the Team Leader - Purchasing, this position is critical to the performance of the purchasing function and supply chain outcomes. We are looking for a person with at least three years purchasing experience ideally over a range of products in the manufacturing environment. You will need to have excellent planning and organising skills to ensure the timely delivery of products and materials for our production requirements. As you'll be liaising with our suppliers, production and planning departments, your grasp and delivery of verbal and written communication will be clear and understandable.

Skills and experience
- Ensure best-in-class systems and processes are in place and continually evolving.
- Ensure that materials are ordered and delivered to meet production requirements
- Collaboration with internal stakeholders such as logistics, manufacturing and strategic procurement functions to achieve required business outcomes
- Manage sustainable supplier relationships
- Performance analysis and reporting
To be successful in this role you will need:
- In depth understanding of all aspects of supply chain, (experience in inventory management in addition to procurement highly regarded).
- Experience in maintaining and interpreting MRP systems.
- Experience using ERP systems, (experience with JDE will be highly regarded).
- Proven experience in interpreting and analysing information and data.
- Proven ability to work autonomously as well as within a team.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, (written and verbal).
- Experienced at trading internationally/importing
