This role is going to suit someone who is well experienced in management at a senior level, including P&L management.
With 5 direct reports and over 100 indirect, you will be responsible for all the day to day management and oversight of the loading and unloading of freight at the Ports of Auckland.

The ideal candidate will have a background in either shipping or logistics, and will be a skilled leader and manager of people, able to empower and build strong teams. 

There will be 60+ casual workers throughout the year employed on a temporary basis, so you will be liaising with labour hire companies as well as recruiting and managing permanent staff.

A competitive base salary is on offer along with a vehicle and a short-term incentive plan.

Strong commercial acumen is needed, along with the relevant experience.
