Within the Australasian team, the New Zealand Category Manager Procurement develops and drives procurement strategy across designated categories of spend, optimising group supplier relationships which deliver greatest business value, contributing to the profitability of individual business units and combined business results.  Engaging with site purchasing teams, the role will provide leadership in supporting and recommending solutions for unique requirements, while identifying opportunities for group-wide sourcing initiatives.

A procurement professional, you will understand that relationships are key – internally and externally, across levels and sectors.  You will bring a strong commercial perspective to embrace business strategy, with expertise in RFP preparation, vendor management and service delivery accountability, also with credibility and influence to ensure internal buy-in to negotiated agreements.   Given this is an individual contributor role, it will require the individual to be self-driven and with strong influencing, analytical and project management skills.  You will enjoy adapting your style and approach to balance corporate business with global presence and the camaraderie of individual industrial sites.
