The Opportunity
Our Corporate Finance team are a highly specialised group that works across all aspects of the M&A Transaction Services spectrum.
We are seeking an experienced Manager or Associate Director to join our team. In your role, you will enjoy and thrive leading and developing others, supporting them to make an impact that matters and setting the direction to deliver exceptional client service. You will demonstrate sales and practice development, with the opportunity to make a real contribution to the growth of our Auckland team.
During your tenure, you will manage projects & transactions for a diverse portfolio of clients. You will develop effective business relationships with clients, deliver outstanding advice and exceed our client’s expectations.
You will demonstrate and develop your capabilities in the following areas:

Ability to draft Information Memorandum, pitch decks and management presentations

Quickly develop an understanding of the target business and the commercial and financial drivers

Prepare and interpret analysis of key business drivers and KPIs with a view of identifying key issues

Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders

Developing financial models that can be visualised and interpreted convincingly to inform recommendations

Management and delivery of client engagements, as well as sales and practice development
-
Plans and executes engagements that deliver a superior client experience
-
Builds an in-depth knowledge of the client’s business and stays up-to-date on industry activities, marketplace trends, and leading practices
About you
-
A relevant University qualification in accounting, finance, economics
-
Ideally you will be studying towards a CA or CFA
-
5 years’ experience within a Corporate Finance environment
-
High level of competency in MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint); experience in Tableau is advantageous
-
Strong financial analysis skills and commercial acumen with a proven ability in interpreting and analysing key business drivers.

Strong communication skills, including report delivery, and an ability to build client and internal relationships.

Proven project management skills including responsibility for delivering to project timetables, and expertise in providing financial advice to a range of clients and decision makers.

Ability to mentor and lead junior team members and support the wider corporate finance team on client engagements.

Applies experience in transactions with sector knowledge to inform strategic and operational decisions and resulting financial implications in advance of a deal
