Quality Assurance (QA) Technician
We are looking for hands on experienced QA Technician to join our busy team.
GMP Dairy Limited is a New Zealand's largest pharmaceutical grade dairy products manufacturer based in East Tamaki, Auckland. Our objective from Day 1 has been to produce high quality, safe products for all our customers no matter where in the world they are, every customer is equally important to us; this philosophy is still true today.
Our fast growing, dynamic and multicultural dairy factory is looking for a QA Technician. A good understanding of microbiology and dairy products manufacturing practices will be an advantage.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor production processing via random QA audits
- Conduct necessary quality inspections using proper equipment and techniques
- Conduct statistical analysis on select processes and report findings
- Assist with problem solving –root cause analysis –corrective actions
- Maintain accurate documentation of quality inspection results
- Ensure incoming materials are in compliance to required specifications
- Ensure outgoing products are in compliance with required specifications and regulations
- Ensure production personnel are following proper procedure for ongoing production checks
You are expected to have:
- Degree qualification in Food Science/Microbiology, Food Chemistry, Pharmacology, Food Technology, Food Engineering or relevant areas
- At least two year experience within the dairy industry will be an advantage
- At least one year on-line check QA experience
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A can-do attitude and ability to work under pressure
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Applications
- Great attention to detail
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule (occasional early morning, later afternoon, or weekend work) based on task and program demands
- Willing to work in our Critical Hygiene Area
Successful candidate will have to undertake a full medical test at the company’s expense.
