We require an Embroidery Machine Operator to join our Dunedin team, starting within the next month.
 

Our business offers a full range of merchandise and promotional products. We offer in-house Embroidery, Screen Print, Dye Sublimation, and Printed Transfers. We work with a number of New Zealand's top companies offering high end products and services from our Dunedin studio. The role reports to the General Manager.

About the Position

• Operate multi-head Tajima embroidery machinery.

• Fixed Term contract for 4 months from the start of employment.

• Hours are between 3.30pm and midnight onwards Monday - Friday.

• Sampling embroidery sew-outs.

• Ensuring quality control measures are in place and adhered to.

• Monitoring and meeting job deadlines.

• Hourly rate negotiable depending on experience.

• Decide what type of backing is required depending on the item to be embroidered, select thread colours required for the job and thread the machine accordingly, decide what size frame is suitable.

• Setup machine accordingly with colour sequence, design rotation, ultimate speed for best output result, positioning of embroidery within the frame.

• Ensure efficient operation of the machine by minimizing the changeover time between runs and preparing the next job in advance.

• Routine cleaning and oiling of the machine and keeping the workspace tidy.

About You:

• • Minimum of 6 months of embroidery machine operations experience.

• • Great attention to detail and a passion for the job.

• • To run an organised production system.

• • To work independently and follow proofs with accuracy.

• • Competent computer and email skills.

• • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.

• • A team player who will go the extra mile to get the job done.

• • Punctual and reliable
