Skills required

• Previous experience assembling prepared wood to form structures and frame work ready to install is a must.
• Knowledge of timber sizes and treatment.
• Ability to study drawings and specifications to determine materials required.
• Knowledge of how to use a nail gun.
• Knowledge of how to use radial- arm saws, rip-saws and other machinery.
• Able to assemble trusses from shop drawings.
• Ability to make frames from shop drawings.
• Preferable but not essential - Able to read drawings from Mitech or Prida software.
• Basic knowledge of trigonometry.
• Able to repair and modify existing frames and trusses on site.
• Fork Hoist License.

• Proven reliability and able to work 45 - hour week (7am-5pm) Monday to Friday weekdays, with an opportunity to work Saturday mornings (8am-12pm).

• Takes pride in their work, has an eye for detail to ensure output accuracy at the highest level.
