This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manufacturing manager to oversee and manage the activities of a newly introduced twilight shift within the Chicken Processing Plant.
Reporting to the Production Manager the Shift Manager will be responsible for ensuring daily production requirements are met. This is a hands on role in the plant, to provide management support to ensure that all processing activities are operating efficiently at the Henderson plant, and delivered by strong people management, ensuring product flows, quality and health and safety are not compromised.
The Primary and Hygiene Team Leaders will report to the Shift Manager. The role will also oversee the performance of Team Co-ordinators in thigh deboning and tray packing in the evening.
Ideally this opportunity will suit an individual with 3+ years of line management experience of a reasonably large scale in a FMCG environment.
Other essential attributes include:
- An understanding of business cost drivers, KPI's, performance standards, productflows and volumes, and statistical data;
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;
- Good organisational and analytical skills;
- Familiarity and experience using Microsoft Office applications;
- An understanding of supply chain management principles, production planning and scheduling;
- Proven people management and leadership skills;
- Able to work flexible working hours, including shift work and some public holidays when required.
