About the role:
You'll be joining a team of experts in a friendly and diverse office environment with free onsite parking. A willingness to get involved and help out where you are needed is essential, as well as confident computer and data entry skills. You will be action-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Under the general direction of the Customs / Imports co-ordinates the operation of inbound international E-Commerce via courier, sea and air including assisting customs clearance procedures in accordance with service expectations of customers, requirements of the company and in compliance with Customs and import procedures and legislative obligations.
Critical to the success of this role is the ability to work closely with, and support the strategies and goals of the Company and instil a cohesive spirit throughout the Company. You will provide general administrative/operational services covering all aspects of the importing department including customer services and co-ordinating all inbound import shipments.
The position has substantial autonomy and latitude to identify and solve problems, achieve objectives and targets and maximise customer satisfaction.
A bit about you:
We are looking for someone with excellent administration skills and strong attention to detail to join our dedicated team at International Freight Services, part of NZ Post. Your key responsibilities will include providing support to process customs clearances as well as being the first point of contact for customers relating to import consignments. This role has lots of interaction, both with customers and internal teams.
