An opportunity has arisen to join the team at Matamata Saddlery and contribute to the manufacturing of NZ’s premium horse covers and equine equipment.
The Head Textile Machinist’s responsibilities will be to ;
- Manage customer orders.
- Help grow and maintain a team of happy machinists to produce top quality products on a time efficient basis
- Complete weekly purchasing & scheduling of inventory requirements
- Oversee Quality control
- Assist with product development
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 1 years sewing experience preferably on industrial machines
- Good level of reading, writing, numeracy and measurement abilities
- Good interpersonal communication with emphasis placed on leadership skills
- Some experience in production management/co-ordination or prepared to learn
- Be a NZ resident or hold a current NZ work visa
- Equine knowledge an advantage
- Physically fit, agile and in good health
This is a permanent full time role working Monday-Friday. Applicants must be able to attend a face-to-face interview. Remuneration will be dependent on experience.
