ELECTRICAL FACTORY MANAGER

Avon Electric is a well established Electrical Manufacturing Company based in Bromley, Christchurch and we are looking for an electrical factory manager to lead our Christchurch Operation.
This is a senior role in a relatively small team so will provide the opportunity to make a very significant contribution to our products and business.
We are seeking someone who wishes to be acknowledged, recognised and rewarded for their efforts, while being part of an energetic, fun and successful team.
Ideally you need to possess the following attributes;
- Good all round electro/mechanical processes including technical aptitude
- Good problem solving and analysis skills
- Stock handling and movement
- Proven people management skills including customer liaison
- The ability to understand, apply and achieve all standards, measures and work practices that ensure the required levels of performance, reliability, efficiency, quality, consistency, safety, accuracy and profitability
- The ability to solicit support and information where/when necessary
- Ability to operate small hand tools
- Packing and despatch of orders to meet courier deadlines and freight trucks
- Liaison with our in-house production team
- Current NZ Drivers Licence
- Forklift licence or agree to training
- Excellent computer skills are a must as is your photography skills
- Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm
Applications will only be considered from those who have a minimum 3 years experience managing a busy warehouse. Full training on our products will be provided.
The position is currently being run very efficiently by our office lady but she is required back upstairs, so the position is available immediately but we are also prepared to wait for the right person.
