At Havelock North New World, we have an opening for a Duty Manager who will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Supermarket while ensuring the supervision of all staff and maintaining store standards.
This is a full-time position and the successful applicant will need to have a passion for customer service and food retailing.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about good quality food – someone who is an experienced team leader and can develop staff to be high achievers in customer service and retailing.
We will appoint someone who has high energy, enthusiasm and an eye for the future and true passion for the Supermarket industry.
Daily tasks include:
Managing and maintaining the set standard of the store, ensuring all shelves are fully stocked and everything is full, fresh and of the best quality possible
Managing the flow of the checkout ensuring customers can get in and out as quickly as possible
Managing staff and giving instructions to ensure the store upholds the set standard
Maintaining and managing the cleanliness of the store keeping it up to the set standard
Dealing with customer issues or suggestions in a timely manner
Managing sickness and annual leave and covering when needed
Managing and achieving set targets and KPI’s for the store
We are looking for someone who:
Is passionate about food
Great customer service skills
Can achieve set targets
Strong eye for detail
Proven management experience as at times you will be managing more than 80 staff members
