About The Job
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Buyer to join our Head to Toe team at The Warehouse Group Store Support Office in Northcote. This is a 1 year Maternity Leave Contract and sits within the Childrenswear team and is responsible for the day-to-day management of a category and input into the strategic direction, as well as delivering profitability and overall success for the division.
We are looking to fill this role with a passionate Buyer who can continue to develop and grow the profile and style of the range.
You will be responsible for
- Creating commercial ranges while making sure our garments deliver quality, are on trend, and at a good value for money for our customers.
- Understanding local and global trends and creating ranges that are customer focused, fit for purpose & designed to surprise and delight our customers - exceeding their expectations.
- Knowing who our customers are!
About You
You will enjoy working cross functionally with the whole Head to Toe team and wider business functions, including Marketing, QA, Operations, Design, and our Sourcing Offices based in Auckland and Shanghai.
In particular you will have a close working relationship with the Merchandise Planners to deliver the all-important financial outcomes by putting together comprehensive ranges and promotional plans. You will be able to negotiate commercial styles with multiple suppliers in your sleep.
You will also be confident with fabrications, construction, and briefing in of artwork, and of course you'll be tranquil in the face of the pressure that comes with all apparel buying roles.
