Fixed-Term Position for 6 Months (20 hours/week)

Industry-leading customer insight and analytics capability is vital for Mercury to achieve our business objectives. The Customer Analyst plays a pivotal role in achieving these objectives and lifting Mercury's analytics capability.

Using in-depth knowledge of analytics and modelling including SAS programming languages the objective of this role is to provide insight and recommendations to senior leadership to drive potentially significant commercial decisions. 

Key accountabilities of this role and team include;

  • Customer Analytics & Modelling - proactively providing the customer business with insight to enable the business to improve customer experience, increase revenue, increase efficiency and improve business performance.
  • Providing the wider retail business with relevant and timely information (through data mining) to assist with understanding customer behaviour.
  • Work with the wider sales & marketing team to develop compelling customer propositions and improvements across marketing campaign processes to increase return on marketing investment by better utilizing customer data & campaign learning.
  • Develop and deliver targeted campaign lists across sales & marketing.
  • Support the measurement of Sales & Marketing activities by providing specialized reporting.
  • Develop self-service reporting tools for the wider retail business by working with ICT and/or external providers.
  • Closely work across all Mercury's business units and the information services area to develop integrated analytical solutions.

 We would like to hear from you if you can demonstrate the following;

  • A minimum of two years' work experience, preferably in a services environment.
  • The ability to obtain information from multiple sources and present back to the business with confidence.
  • SAS programming skills (familiar with PROC SQL).
  • Postgraduate qualification in Statistics or similar discipline
  • High level of communication skills, both written and oral.
