The Ministry for Primary Industries' purpose is growing and protecting New Zealand. We work to ensure New Zealand is the most trusted source of high value natural products in the world. The Communications, Engagement and Channels team requires a superstar to help deliver on this. There is complexity and challenge, so no two days are the same. You'll need to be energetic and adaptable to thrive in this environment. This roles requires strategic nous and tactical know-how. We think it's one of the most stimulating and important roles in town.
You'll be developing and implementing communications plans that go above and beyond the standard template. We need someone who can be creative and push the boundaries to reach our goals, and someone who keeps cool under pressure.
The work will include pitching proactive stories to media, and being prepared to work on reactive issues when they come up. You'll also need to be flexible to jump in and help others in the team on issues when they need a hand.
You'll have a good risk radar and nose for innovative message delivery.
