About the Role

We’ve been driving innovation and increased customer-focus across our B2B channel and as a result we are pleased to present a newly created opportunity for a commercial leader to shape the future of BP NZ’s Business to Business (B2B) success and offer. We’re looking for business experience which will enable you to apply fresh eyes and innovative thinking to solving challenges for our B2B customers. Your career path will include people leadership as well as one or more functions such as Sales, Marketing or Supply Chain.

You’ll lead our accomplished team of Business Managers, as well as lead strategy around how we support our business customers and further grow this significant market channel. Through our B2B channel we distribute nearly half of BP NZ’s total fuel volume - so you’ll play a highly visible a high-profile part of BP’s business as well keeping the country moving and prosperous.

Our B2B channel is broad and includes Bulk Fuel, Fuelcard, Truckstop, large transport, marine, fleet, SME and retail. Our customers here depend on our sound judgement, wise strategy, responsiveness and ability to understand and support their diverse businesses all across the country.

Further Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe and reliable operations and a compelling customer offer.
  • Develop and support execution of sales strategy, annual plans, offer development.
  • Responsible for the overall development and implementation of the product strategy for BP Fuelcard. Utilising customer insights and market intelligence to identify and evaluate opportunities for enhancement or development of Fuelcard offers by customer segment.
  • The business owner for the operation and functional development of the Fuel card & On-boarding platforms.

About You:

As the right person for this role you will hold leadership experience in a complex multidisciplinary role as well as significant customer relationship management and negotiation experience. You will be familiar with business management principles in order to guide the B2B business to success. Strong influencing skills for both internal and external value creation as well as strong financial and analytical abilities are essential. The industries you’ve worked in and career path are both likely wide and varied in nature but experience within larger complex organisation is favourable to your ability to hit the ground running and lead our B2B business.
