You will maintain integrity in all aspects of the organisation’s financials.  And with the production of timely and accurate financials, you will participate in discussions with the senior management team as future strategic directions are planned.

Duties

Full detail will be provided to applicants shortlisted for interview by the employer.  However, in summary the duties include:

• Budgeting, forecasting and business valuation
• Pricing and costing
• Critique, develop, implement and maintain appropriate internal controls
• Risk management
• Reporting to support company governance
• Management of the financial accounting and administration team and functions
• Annual accounts and the timely management of all tax and statutory returns

What you need to have

Due to the leadership nature of this role, our client employer is seeking to employ someone with both management (or business) and relevant accounting qualifications.

That said, it will also be important that you remain down to earth, accessible and ready to pitch in to ensure that deadlines are met.

• A tertiary (minimum post graduate) management or business qualification
• Accounting practice qualification of CA, equivalent (or relevant experience working towards that)
• Extensive accounting experience gained within and across a business (as opposed to being an external service provider)
• Team leadership experience
• A commitment to continuous improvement
• Preference may be given to applicants whose experience has been gained in a TEO
