Matamata Industrial Machinery Imports Limited (MIMICO) sells, hires and services heavy machinery for the quarrying, mining, contracting, construction, recycling and forestry industries. MIMICO is the New Zealand distributor for Metso Crushing & Screening equipment, Kobelco Excavators, Kawasaki Wheel Loaders, Moxy Dump Trucks, Dynapac Compaction & Paving Equipment, Epiroc rock breakers & excavator attachments, CESCO Concrete Mixer Units and ZF Construction Parts & Mixer Drives.
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Workshop Service Manager to join our busy team in Takanini. Working closely with the Auckland Branch Manager you will be responsible for the efficient operation of the Mechanical workshop. This includes the ongoing development of the service team and their capabilities and a strong focus on business development.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous leadership, management and business development experience
- Experience in, or an understanding of, the heavy machinery industry
- Strong mechanical and hydraulics knowledge
- The ability to think outside the square and identify opportunities for improvement and growth
- A commitment to, and a thorough understanding of, Health & Safety Legislation and compliance requirements
- A desire for continuous improvement and the ability to manage improvement initiatives
- Strong communication and relationship building skills and the ability to deal with people at all levels
