Profab Central Engineering Ltd specialises in the construction and fit-out of medium to large sized commercial and pleasure boats, constructed from aluminium.
We currently seek a qualified electrician to join our installation team. This role would be ideal for an electrician looking to expand their knowledge into the marine sector.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Working from Electrical drawings/ wiring schematics (either hand drawn or computerised).
- Testing the operation of electrical equipment and distribution systems
- Electrical fit out; laying cables, connecting wires to terminals, connection of services etc
- Positioning and installation of switchboards
- Connection of electrical systems to power supplies – 415v/ 230v/ 24v
- Testing/ fault finding in continuity of circuits
Previous experience working on boats is not essential but good electrical practices are.
