Due to increased market share and project growth, our innovative client is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Field Service Technician with a high level of mechanical aptitude who enjoys a diverse and stimulating environment. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will utilise your exceptional skills to provide a professional service, manage the training to client staff, manage continuous improvement, provide timely and organised service support and make recommendations as to the best solution from both a service and upgrade perspective while adhering to Australian safety standards. Your personable nature and exceptional interpersonal skills will allow you to build and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced, innovative and challenging environment that will see you travelling to various locations in a fully maintained company vehicle that will be provided to you. Some of your other responsibilities will include:

• Machine installations, maintenance, service and repairs and technical advice
• Providing PLC, Touch Screen and Robotic programming modifications to existing equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical control systems
• Developing and exploring continuous improvement measures
• Developing and implementing new product system modifications
• Making maintenance modification recommendations throughout the installation phase to improve on reliability and performance of equipment
• Whilst providing the required technical support, proactively source other opportunities available to provide further support

To be Successful
You will be a highly flexible, hands on and results driven professional who is dedicated to delivering work to a high-quality standard and in a timely manner. Your demonstrated background in Industrial Automation and your ability to successfully meet deadlines will see you excel in this role. As the successful candidate you will possess the following skills and attributes:

• Electrical/Electronic Trade Certificate: A Grade License - ESSENTIAL
• Experience with PLC / HMI (Allen Bradley, ABB, Siemens)
• High Mechanical Aptitude
• Knowledge on robotics - Desirable
• Packaging and/or Food and Beverage Experience – Advantageous
• Willingness to travel as required
• A positive and hands on attitude with excellent communication skills
