Our modern hard chrome plating facility in Kings Park is state of the art and is equipped to offer a range of services including hard chrome plating, cylindrical grinding, linishing and general machining.

Due to the growth of our business we currently have an opening for a Trades Assistance at the facility.

Working alongside our experienced fitter-machinists and electroplaters you will support the production process and your duties will include;

• Preparing jobs for plating under the guidance of our electroplaters
• Manipulating jobs either manually or with cranes and lifting devices.
• Working with electroplating chemicals and strong solvents
• Operating Hard Chrome plating tanks and associated electrical equipment under supervision
• Maintaining and cleaning the working area and electroplating equipment
• Packing jobs and preparing them for transport
• Loading and unloading jobs from trucks
• Exercising attention to detail and accuracy in completing job related documentation.
• Interacting with co-workers to share duties and responsibilities not necessarily related to the electroplating processes.

To succeed in this role you ideally will have the following attributes;

• comfortable working in a physically demanding role in a workshop environment where strong chemicals are used
• enjoy working with tools
• experience working with overhead cranes and lifting devices would be advantageous
• enjoy working in a team environment
• a can-do attitude and eagerness to learn
