The Book House is a specialist supplier of books to Schools, Libraries and Tertiary institutions that has been operating in Australia fsince 1979. Due to growth, we are now looking for book processors to join our team.
The opportunity is for between 3 to 5 days a week depending on volume. Consistent work will be available for a good performer.
Processing includes preparing books to be "shelf-ready" for schools and libraries and customising books through any or all of the following processes:
- Placing barcodes;
- Applying school labels;
- Applying school or library stamps;
- Applying hinge tape to books;
- Stitching books; and
- Covering according to exact specifications.
The role will include training on how to process books.
Experience:
The ideal candidate will have experience covering books for their children, or arts and crafts experience such as quilting or scrap booking.
Skills and attributes:
- Speedy and accurate;
- Disciplined and well organised;
- Attention to detail;
- Self starter;
- Enjoy working with your hands;
- Happy to work to exact specifications;
- Comfortable following directions;
- Good time management; and
- Able to work well in a team.
