Kings Engineering, part of the Bloomfield Group, have been providing a wide spectrum of engineering services to the Mining, Transport, Electrical, Aluminium, Agricultural, Construction, Rail, Manufacturing and Food Processing industries for in excess of 90 years. Kings have two workshops facilities one in Rutherford and one in Lithgow, NSW.

As a result of growth across Kings Engineering, exciting opportunities have opened up for experienced Component Rebuild Mechanics looking to join a family orientated employer that values employees. If you are successful, you will be employed with Kings Engineering and based at either our Kings Engineering Rutherford workshop or Four Mile Engineering Ashtonfield workshop, both part of the Bloomfield Group working on component rebuilds. Site work opportunities and overtime are also available as part of the position.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, quality, effective and efficient services to Kings customers
• Ensure reasonable targets are met with safety as the priority
• Rebuild components and offer support on underground and open cut mobile equipment and fixed plant
• Demonstrate excellent housekeeping and equipment care

Essential Criteria

• Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices relevant to the mining industry and a commitment to zero harm
• Automotive or Engineering Trade Certificate with component rebuild experience on heavy earthmoving equipment, ideally 3 years plus post trade. Caterpillar component experience will be highly regarded
• Rebuild experience on one or more of the following essential: Transmissions, torque convertors, diff and final drives
• Competent computer skills & knowledge of Caterpillar SIS
• Good written and oral communication with the ability to liaise with all levels of the organisation
• Ability to effectively communicate within and between work teams, demonstrating positive interpersonal skills
• Current valid NSW Driver’s Licence

Desirable Criteria

• Component rebuild experience on Caterpillar equipment
• High Risk WorkCover tickets such as C6 Crane (60T), Dogging, Basic Rigging, Forklift, Elevated Work Platform and Working at Heights training
• Engine rebuild experience would be highly regarded
