The role
Brookfield Green has a vacancy for a Grounds and Maintenance Supervisor to join their team on a full-time basis. This role provides effective hands on leadership to staff within the building and grounds maintenance team, with responsibility for all building and equipment maintenance and ensuring the grounds are in a presentable condition.
Brookfield Green is situated in the western suburbs of Brisbane in a quiet semi-rural setting. Brookfield Green provides care to residents across the full spectrum of aged care, including dementia and respite specific care.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Ability to work within the Christian ethos and framework of Carinity
- Customer service approach and genuine care for the elderly
- Certification and/or significant experience in the maintenance, carpentry/building, groundskeeping or trade fields is preferred
- Sewerage treatment plant qualifications, or willingness to obtain same
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills
- Knowledge and/or experience in the maintenance of small machinery and equipment
- Knowledge and/or experience in gardening and building/grounds maintenance
- Willingness to work as a team member
- Ability to effectively plan and prioritise work
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with the elderly, staff and management
- Ability to take instruction and also use initiative in maintaining service delivery
- Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
- National Criminal History Check, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
