Our client who manufacturer timber walls and trusses based in the South East Suburbs are a well established and growing business and are currently seeking a Detailer to join their team. This is a newly created role reporting to the Production Manager.
The purpose of your role:
The role of the detailer obtains the plans from the builder for new homes and then works out what is required from the plans then sends to production for output. You will also be liasing with builders as required.
To be successful you must:
• Ideally have previous experience in a similar role within the building industry
• Come from the building industry ie, ex carpenter or builder
• Must be able to read drawings and plans
• Be computer literate and numbers focused
• Ensure adherence to all company policies, practices and procedures
• Other duties as required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to work to strict deadlines under pressure
• Have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
