We  currently  have  opportunities for experienced Security Officers working with our prestigious Local Government Client.  We have a variety of roles on offer including Access Control, mobile community response patrols, CCTV monitoring as well as venue protection work (general public contact) and community engagement.

Duties may include but not limited to:

Mobile Patrol (Community Response Vehicles)

• Provide a visible presence
• Improve community safety by proactively reporting vandalism, damage to council property, anti-social and suspicious behaviour
• Assisting emergency services and residents.
• Responding to alarms
• Interact frequently with CCTV monitoring personnel, QPS and emergency services
• Manage trespassers and unauthorised entry as per legislation and Council requirements
• Patrol of all council premises and sites including but not limited to; parklands, inner city areas and precincts.
• Enforce local laws

Building Patrols

• General foot and vehicle patrol duties, including:
• Alarm responses
• Council buildings and facilities patrols and wanding / tagging
• Public amenities lock up/unlock
• Alarm response services
• Flags raising / lowering

Access  and Cameral Control Room

• Access Control duties and identification checkpoints

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation

• Monitoring of CCTV

• Monitor individual and crowd behaviours

• Maintaining accurate records on computer systems

• Communicating with general public and other stakeholders

• General Security officer duties

• Emergency response

• Traffic control

• Maximising safety of all patrons

Essential Criteria

• Certificate II in Security Operations.
• Certificate III in Security Operations  to undertake duties in Access and Cameral Control room.
• QLD Security License  - with Crowd Control and Unarmed Security as minimum.
• Monitoring function essential to be considered for Access and Camera Control room.
• Apply First Aid and CPR (current)
• Strong communication skills and use of radio
• Computer skills with Intermediate level Microsoft application skills and experience (essential)
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment and work unsupervised
• Ability to write thorough incident reports and logs (Word and Excel).
• Excellent personal presentation and customer service skills
• Ability to follow instructions and multi task during pressure situations
• QLD Open drivers license (current)
• Must hold or be willing to obtain a Defence Negative Vetting 1 Clearance.
• Available 7 days per week day & night shifts
