Due to continued growth, we are seeking a trade qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic with diesel and small petrol engine experience to join our team in Newman. You will be expected to work unsupervised therefore must be a self-starter that can work to safety standards. You will be expected to repair and maintain a diverse fleet of equipment.
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Maintenance service and repair record keeping
- Responsible for receipt storage and despatch of tools, equipment, construction materials and PPE
- Fault finding of a variety of petrol and diesel powered equipment and light vehicles
- Responsible for scheduled service and repairs of a diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment
- Responsible for maintaining the laydown yard and keeping it orderly
- Must have a positive attitude with a strong safety focus
Skills and experience
Mechanical Trade qualified
At least 3 years in similar role
Must be able to work unsupervised
Effective time management and attention to detail
Current Western Australia Drivers Licence with class MR
Proven experience with diesel and small petrol engines
Troubleshooting, diagnostic and preventative maintenance skills
Forklift ticket (desirable)
Hydraulic experience (desirable)
Air conditioning refrigeration licence (desirable)
