About the role
Your duties will include:
Heading up our new baked vegan range
Measuring & mixing of ingredients
Follow production / recipe sheets to make cakes
Decorating and cutting of cakes and slices and packaging
Troubleshooting any problems that arise in production or procedures
Helping to create and maintain manuals and procedures
Performing other kitchen duties including cleaning, stock rotation, food storage etc
Benefits and perks
The role is Monday through to Friday 6 am start with a work life balance as we do not work weekends or public holidays. We are a small team where everyone's opinion and creativity is appreciated.
Skills and experience
We are looking for someone who:
Is willing to grow with the company
Has extensive baking experience
Has commercial kitchen experience
Pipping, cake cutting and dressing experience – must be able to write with pipping bag
Strong team player who has initiative, creativity, self motivated and enthusiastic
You must be able to adapt to change and be able to multi task
Fit and healthy and must be able to lift 15 kg
Can work under pressure and maintain high standards
Has a genuine interest in vegan products and sustainability
Has a positive attitude
