More than a Butcher
Located in a small collection of shops off Springbank Road, St James Quality Cuts has evolved into a blend of butchery and general store. Quality meats, value-added products, and small goods are prepared and sold on the premises alongside other general conveniences such as milk and eggs, condiments, and ready-made meals.
About the role
We are seeking a trade-qualified butcher for a part-time position working alongside the business owner:
- Approx 27 hours per week
- Primarily weekday role with occasional weekends and reasonable overtime required
- General butchery - boning, slicing, preparing primary carcass cuts etc.
- Prepare value added-products
- Cleaning store and equipment
- Customer service
- Some opening/closing of store when rostered

Skills and experience
Candidates must be trade qualified butchers. Butchery experience and small goods qualifications are a bonus but not essential - we will also consider recently qualified butchers.
Candidates must also be able to take direction and work independently, and must be passionate about providing quality products and customer service.
