GVH Constructions specialises in constructions services including full residential renovations, second storey extensions & maintenance works, predominately in the lower-north shore, inner east & surrounding area. We are currently recruiting for an experienced carpenter with a good sense of humour to join our close team.
GVH Constructions has been established for 15 years & is a family business who have a small team of currently 4 long term employees. We have a full WHS system and are a member of the NSW Master Builders. Having a good friendly team is our priority.
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of carpentry from the completion of remedial works, maintenance works and general construction including renovations and extensions. The role is for 40 hours per week with an immediate start available. You will be responsible for the completion of varying jobs across Sydney. You will be working solely and at times with small team environment. You will be reporting directly to the owner of the company.
This is a good stepping stone role for someone moving on from completing their apprenticeship and wants to build on a career and eventually supervising their own apprentices and own small team.
Applicants must have:
- Safety induction card
- Australian driver's license
- 4 years minimum experience in the building or similar industry
- Works well in a team and productive on their own.
- Must be healthy, physically fit and reliable.
Key characteristics needed for this position include:
- Strong work ethic
- Basic tools a plus
- Excellent communication & common sense
- Preferable but not essential own vehicle
- Preferable but not essential current first aid certificate
