Clough AMEC have maintenance roles available in Karratha with a work scope of 5+ years. The roles are available for Karratha residential only or people that are willing to relocate to Karratha. Up to $10,000 relocation assistance will be offered to the right candidate, relocation can be from anywhere in Australia.

The role forms part of the Clough AMEC core maintenance crew as a Mechanical Fitter on our Client’s Ammonia Fertiliser Plant. The maintenance work will include both planned routine maintenance and unplanned maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- A strong capability and experience undertaking maintenance work in an operating plant.
- Able to understand and interpret vendor data and maintenance work orders.
- Participate in pre-start meetings at the start of every shift and tool box meetings.
- A demonstrated experience at completing a range of mechanical maintenance work for both static equipment and rotating equipment.
- Experience in Flange management
- Experience at working with computerized maintenance management system such as SAP
- An ability to work unsupervised and autonomously.
- Completion of maintenance reports as well as identification and reporting of follow-up maintenance works.
- Use of hand and power tools.
- Work in hazardous areas under ‘Permit to Work’ regulations.
- Assist all other trades within his capability in the performance of maintenance works.
- Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor on status of daily activities and work progress.
HSSE Responsibilities:
- Work in strict accordance with Clough AMEC HSSE policies, processes and procedures.
- Ensure adequate fitness for work, as per the Fitness for Work policy.
- Report all incidents or hazards which have the potential to adversely affect the health and safety of personnel or the environment.
- Comply with occupational health and safety, environmental, anti-discrimination, equal opportunity and other legislative requirements in accordance with the parameters of the position.
Compliance and Legislative Knowledge:
- Commitment to Clough AMEC’s Vision and Mission.
- Read, understand and comply with procedures, policies and work instructions relevant to your position.
Essential:
- Trade Certificate – Mechanical Fitter.
- Dangerous Goods Security Card or willing to obtain.
- MSIC or willing to obtain.
- Experience in Static, Rotating equipment and Laser Alignment.
- Experience in Flange management.
- Enter and Work in Confined Space (Must be Valid, course completed within the last 2 years).
- Working at Heights (Must be Valid, course completed within the last 2 years).
- Gas Testing Atmosphere Certificate.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience on a hazardous live plant or Petro-chemical or similar environment.
- Possess a high level of commitment to safety.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience on a hazardous live plant.
