About the role

As a result of exciting growth and our increased commitment to a valued customer, we are seeking the skills of an experienced Fleet Mechanic.  Based primarily at the customer's premises in the Western suburbs, which is fitted with a service pit and all associated tooling, this role will be responsible for the repair and service of a range of trucks and trailers.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Carry out lube services on trucks and trailers including changing oils, chassis greasing and inspection of steering and braking componentry
  • Removal of wheels, repacking and adjusting wheel bearings, replacement or adjustment of brakes
  • Repairs to engines, gearboxes, diffs etc. on a wide range of trucks
  • Completion of service sheets and other job related documents

Skills & Experience

  • Mechanical trade certificate
  • Experienced in Heavy Vehicle industry
  • Previous Cummins training and experience with American or European drivelines will be highly regarded
  • Current HC/HR drivers licence desirable
  • Strong customer focus and work ethic
  • Commitment to safe working practices and following site safety guidelines.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
