THE ROLE
We are currently seeking a full time qualified Maintenance Fitter to be responsible for proactive preventive machine maintenance at our Arndell Park site. This is a perfect role for someone looking to kickstart their career at one of Australia’s premier meat processing sites.
This role will see you primarily supporting the smooth operation of our production room by ensuring all equipment is maintained to the highest standards and avoiding unnecessary downtime. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Effectively respond to breakdown callouts throughout the day ensuring minimal downtime.
- Participate in the maintenance program through CMMS that includes preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, breakdowns and negligence.
- Assist in organizing and carrying out all site projects including the installation of new equipment and building improvements.
- Oversee current work practices and assist with implementing safe operating procedures
- Ensure accurate Asset malfunction and repair data is logged and submitted within a timely manner
THE CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
- Minimum 2 - 3 years experience in similar role
- Australian Recognised Trade Qualification
- WH&S Awareness
- Restricted electrical license Disconnect Reconnect favorable
- Availability for 4AM starts
- Good Verbal and Written communication skills
- Relevant FMCG experience
- Tig welding experience
- Strong problem solving skills
- Must be a Team Player and able to work unsupervised
- Small team so good attendance and reliability is a must
- Proven Mechanical breakdown and faultfinding skills
- Modification and improvement on equipment ranging from automated high speed conveyors to processing equipment.
This position is based on a rotating day roster with some overtime available during the week as well as some Saturdays. In return, B.E Campbell offers above award wages in addition to great employee incentives.
