About the Role
We are currently seeking talented and experienced Diesel Fitters to join our Mine Shop on a permanent full time basis to carry out maintenance and repairs on Caterpillar equipment. These are typically Monday to Friday positions, based at our Rockhampton Business Centre.
 
In this rewarding role, your key responsibilities will include:

• Perform maintenance, repairs and reconditioning work on Caterpillar equipment within the Mine Shop
• Take all reasonable steps to ensure that assigned tasks are free of faulty workmanship, assuring quality in the finished product
• Ensure repairs are carried out using the appropriate control guidelines to ensure that rework jobs do not occur.
• Ensure all assigned tasks are completed within required target times
• Determine reusability of all disassembled parts
• Provide assistance to other tradespersons in carrying out daily tasks

About You

• Trade qualified Diesel Fitter with at least 3 years demonstrated experience with Caterpillar machinery/equipment
• Experience on Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems (ET,SIMSi and SIS)   
• Maintain a high level of workplace health and safety at all times
• Capable of working both in a team and autonomously, in varied environments
• Exceptional communication skills
• A desire to learn and continually improve, as well as the ability to think outside the box.
