Our client is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join the Management Team at there recycling plant in Springvale. This world leading privately owned, packaging, paper and recycling company is growing from strength to strength! With a national and global footprint they are an innovative and market leader within their industry.

Reporting to the Site Manager, Springvale, this role involves:

Responsibility for OHS&E of employees, contractors,
Supporting the Site Manager,
Achieving Operational KPI’s and budget targets as set.
Generating action plans and driving continuous improvement with systems to ensure they are efficient, transparent and deliver required results,
Continuously drive cost reduction programs within the business and ensure lowest costs achieved,
Ensure internal and external customer relationships are being maintained by assisting in resolving issues as they arise,
Support and work with Managers, colleges and staff to implement and deliver on initiatives,
Maintain processes that ensure product quality meets customer expectations.

Leadership:

Provide leadership, direction and support to your team to ensure resources and skills are available to achieve desired budgeted results,
Actively manage and review the performance of direct reports including developing and reviewing KPI’s to ensure they are appropriate and accurately measure business progress,
Assist in dealing with Employee relations issue as they arise to achieve a satisfactory outcome for all involved,
Develop appropriate task lists and convey clear expectations to direct reports to support achievement of area KPI’s, targets, housekeeping standards and equipment maintenance.

Operations:

Maintain operational wages/salary and R&M in line with MME and budget in conjunction with Site Manager,
Ongoing tracking and management of plant uptime versus production throughput,
Develop daily and monthly KPI’s to track progress,
Ongoing tracking and improvement to yields,
Schedule, conduct and record preventative maintenance on all plants and equipment,
Establish and maintain monthly maintenance plans,
Liaise with suppliers and order stocks and spare parts. Develop and maintain a central spares warehouse,
Co-ordinate emergency /breakdown work on all plant and equipment as required,
Provide reports as required.

Your amazing Skills & Experience:

Trade qualified - Fitter & Turner,
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings,
‘Hands on’ Practical experience in a maintenance environment,
Experienced in managing a team in a process manufacturing environment,
Mechanical aptitude and strong problem solving skills,
Strong communication skills,
Strong time management skills,
Ability to train and train others,
Forklift license.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

Computer Skill: SAP Kronos, Microsoft Office, CAD
Accounting / Financial Skills
PLC program
Project management experience
