In a climate of uncertainty and redundancies, our client has been experiencing a period of growth over the past 12 months. Having laid solid foundations and delivering on their promises has enabled them to successfully win long term contracts. As a contractor, they are covering multiple sites in the northwest, enjoying strong relationships with a number of mining houses and major contractors.
We are currently searching for a Workshop Supervisor to manage a Pilbara based HV/LV workshop. We are seeking people with strong experience working in a civil environment on a variety of heavy duty mobile equipment - civil/mining plant and heavy haulage.
Reporting in to the Operations Manager, and with the support of your team, you will have the freedom to establish the processes, procedures and systems you choose to ensure all plant and equipment is operational with as little downtime as possible.
This is a FIFO role in the Pilbara. A house and vehicle will be provided in the nearby town. There is an option for the role to be residential if you prefer the regional lifestyle.
Essential Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the civil industry as a Workshop Supervisor
- Trade qualifications (preferably Heavy Diesel Fitter) with significant experience working on variety of heavy mobile plant used in civil construction / mining operations
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create a healthy team environment
- Ability to coordinate with field personnel on plant maintenance and movements
- Experience in management of maintenance planning and inventory control
