Based in Brendale on the North side of Brisbane, Our Client is subsidiary of a leading supplier of value-added, technology-based products and services for freight rail, passenger transit and select industrial markets worldwide. 2XM Recruit are seeking an experienced Trades Assistant to join their growing Brisbane team.
You will be responsible for assisting the Service Technicians as they perform overhauls, repairs and modifications to their customers mechanical, pneumatic and electro-pneumatic air brake equipment along with other related equipment.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Experience in working and assisting Mechanical Trades Persons;
- Extensive experience with power and hand tools
- Ability to work 38 hours per week but be flexible if hours need to increase or decrease with operational needs.
- Current QLD driver’s licence;
- Forklift license;
- Commitment to HSE, Quality and Continuous Improvement practices; and
- Some travel may be required to internal and customer sites.
