The role
We have a range of ‘Drive-in, Drive-out’ Bowen Basin Shutdown opportunities for suitable candidates located within the Central Queensland and Mackay Region:
- "Shutdowns" working across multiple Bowen Basin Sites, 4 weeks duration per Shutdown
- Primarily working across Draglines, Shovel, CHPP & Field Maintenance area’s
- Shift relief may be required on occasion
- Casual Basis
About you
You will have a proven track record of experience in heavy industry, fixed plant maintenance, construction or commissioning; an attitude that safety and well-being comes first; and a willingness to go the extra yard to achieve great results for yourself, your team and your customers.
Attributes and Skills
- Minimum 2-years post-trade experience within the Coal Mining sector
- Demonstrated focus on safety and well-being
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work well within a team environment
- Positive and Reliable Character
- Ability to work unsupervised, in a self-driven work environment
Essential Competencies
- QLD Electrical - Fitter & Mechanical licence
- Current Coal Board Medical – Section 4
- Standard 11 Induction
- CPR/LVR Ticket
- Working at Heights
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence
Desirable Competencies
- Confined Space
- Current BMA, Batchfire (Callide) or Glencore inducted
- High Risk Licence - EWP
