Telecommunications cabling / Microwave Radio Technician

Our team is growing and we would like a quality and service driven technician to assist us with the implementation of the physical cabling layer & Microwave / Radio installations for new client connections in both the residential & commercial sectors.
You will be an active and much-loved member of the team working collaboratively to provide the highest level of service and technical support and advice.
Some of the nuts and bolts of the role include
- Ethernet service installation, typically in commercial MDU environment across Category 5, 5e & Category 6 copper cabling as well as fibre
- Experience with broad range of PTP & PTMP microwave installation & RF applications
- End to end 100mbps & Gigabit circuit implementation & testing
- Installation of hardware including Switches, Routers & Wireless Access Points (Configuration skills not required but basic level of understanding would be useful)
Some of the experience you will need to demonstrate includes
- Full Open VIC driver’s license & work vehicle
- Industry Red / White Card
- Excellent understanding of in-building structured cabling systems
- AUSTEL / ACMA open registration cabling License
- Voice and Data cabling installation experience including MDF/IDF & TO experience
- Cabling circuit fault locating & rectification
- Working with heights
- Elevated Platform License (EWP)
- EME Awareness (RadHaz)
- Tower climb & rescue (preferred)
- Experience with broad range of PTP & PTMP microwave & RF.
