About the Role
We are currently seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our Bibra Lake Workshop. This role involves the service, repair and maintenance of all fuel tankers and a fleet of Kenworth trucks, in an efficient and timely manner in accordance with the maintenance and workshop procedures. This will be an ongoing position due to the recently awarded contract for 3+ years
Duties
- Effectively diagnosis and find faults in the mechanical assessment of machinery for repair, maintenance and service
- Servicing for all fleet, including trucks, fuel tankers, trailers, dolly’s and motor vehicles in accordance with the maintenance procedure and workshop manual
- Replacement of brakes, suspension components and steering systems
- Auto electrical work on all 12 or 24 volt systems to comply with dangerous goods code
- Paperwork completed accurately
Skills and Experience
- Trade Certified in heavy road transport
- Also knowledge in SLP inspections
- Experience in a similar role
- Experience with Kenworth prime mover and Cummins engines
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team
- Minimum HR Licence required but MC preferred
- Fork lift ticket
