We are now offering an exciting opportunity for an energetic and self motivated person, with strong organisational skills to join our maintenance team.
Based out of our Colac and Irrewarra sites, the Area Fitter must have a strong commitment to safety and a focus and passion for continuous improvement.
With a positive and mature attitude, the incumbent will plan daily activities with a ‘hands on’ approach coordinating their team to achieve high levels of safety, preventative maintenance and production efficiency as well as complete Root Cause Analysis to identify continuous improvement projects. The position will report directly to the Irrewarra Maintenance Supervisor
Key duties & responsibilities:
- Support maintenance Supervisor in weekly work packages for maintenance shift personnel
- Organise parts & resources for shift maintenance personnel
- Evaluate pm checks and make recommendations and changes as required
- Liaise with shift maintenance personnel and production personnel regarding existing issues on plant and identify engineering fixes to suit
- Ensure MEX work back log is accurate and under control
- Ensure critical spares are kept on site and in breakdown situations expedite parts to site with urgency
- Plan Weekend and yearly shuts including all parts and resources.
Experience & requirements:
- Completed Trade Certificate (Desirable)
- Preventative maintenance experience
- Absolute Commitment to health & safety
- Strong verbal and written communicational skills
- Ability to lead and motivate others
- Good time management
