The Role:

APTS are currently looking for an experienced Casual NDT Technician to join our growing team. The position would be based out of our Henderson Office.

  • Translate NDT codes, standards, specifications and procedures into NDT instructions
  • Set up and verify equipment settings
  • Ensure that all NDT equipment is within calibration before use
  • Perform routine process control tests and periodic calibrations in accordance with documented specifications and procedures
  • Select the NDT technique for the test method to be used
  • Define the limitations of application of the testing method
  • Perform and supervise tests
  • Interpret and evaluate results according to applicable codes, standards, specifications or procedures
  • Prepare NDT instructions
  • Comply with the requirements of the company’s quality system
  • Report the results of non-destructive tests

Selection Criteria:

  • PCN/AINDT LEVEL 2 MT
  • PCN/AINDT LEVEL 2  PT
  • PCN/AINDT LEVEL 2  RT
  • Welding Inspection (CSWIP 3.1)
  • Western Australian Radiation Safety
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Must be adaptable with working hours which can vary frequently
