As the Labourer Water you will work collaboratively with the Water Services team to achieve the safe and efficient delivery of water and sewerage services to customers.
To be successful, you will need to have the ability to interpret and understand engineering plans and documentation for water and sewerage infrastructure, knowledge of safe work practices and methods in water and sewerage and have knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety legislation as well as the Council's SafePlan safety management system.

More specifically, the essential key requirements for success include the following and these should be addressed in your selection response:
- Physical fitness and ability to undertake manual labouring tasks in tropical conditions;
- Ability to undertake all work activities associated with the construction of water mains and sewers;
- Experience in the construction and repair of sewerage pipelines and manholes;
- Sound communication skills;
- Sound knowledge of procedures for care and safe use of plant assigned to job sites;
- Sound literacy and numeracy skills;
- Working knowledge of relevant Council policies and Local Laws and;
- Competence with computer/tablet technology.
Qualifications/Licences:
- Current C Class Drivers License and;
- General Safety Construction Induction card.
It is desired that you have a First Aid Certificate, ability to operate small plant eg. mini excavator and immunity from hepatitis A and B.
