About the job:
We are looking for a team oriented, enthusiastic and highly motivated Building Estimator to join our team.
This job is something special. You’ll be exposed to a wide range of activities, including procurement, cost analysis, estimating labour and equipment requirements, and development of scope of works. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with other members of the team to ensure projects run smoothly, to budget and to deadline. You’ll also get the opportunity to help us build our estimating capability, including selecting estimating software that best suits our needs.
About you:
You are likely a carpenter looking to get off the tools – you may also have a Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Estimating). You have solid experience in residential building, and have a sound knowledge of computers, including MS Office (particularly Excel). You may also have been exposed to Estimating software programs.
You are a team player who is prepared to get involved in a number of different aspects of the business to ensure that the work undertaken is completed thoroughly, professionally, and to the satisfaction of the client. You’re well organised, have great communication skills and are keen to develop your skills further.
