Kings Canyon is one of the Red Centre's little known jewels. Hidden deep in Watarrka National Park, it is a breath taking sandstone chasm that spectacularly plunges over 150 metres into the earth. Home to Kings Canyon Rim Walk, the area receives more than 250,000 international and domestic visitors per year.
The property is looking for an experienced General Hands to join their team. Someone with a horticulturist background would be highly regarded in this role. You will be joining a team of committed, passionate and service focused team striving to provide an exceptional guest experience.
Working as a General Hand and reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be involved in the maintenance, development and presentation of the Resort, whilst maintaining the highest degree of guest satisfaction.
About the Role
Duties
- The maintenance, development and presentation of the Resort whilst maintaining the highest degree of guest satisfaction
- You will look after all aspects of General Maintenance and Gardening
- Painting and decorating
- Basic carpentry through to general repairs
- Upkeep of grounds and guest areas.
What you will bring to the role;
- Previous experience as Handyperson/Trades Assistant
- Friendly nature and excellent team working skills
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to different and challenging circumstances
- Proactive in your approach to the work environment
- First Aid Certificate
- Unrestricted/Open Manual Driver’s License
- Highly developed interpersonal/communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Hotel / resort experience will be highly regarded
Qualifications
- Current unrestricted manual drivers licence (LR Highly regarded)
- Applicable licences to perform duties ie. Forklift, Chainsaw etc
- First Aid Certificate (Highly regarded)
