About the opportunity

We are seeking an energetic and team orientated workshop technician, with a mechanical qualification, to be based at our Adelaide branch to service and repair material handling equipment.

As the successful applicant you will be required to perform general maintenance, repairs, servicing and major overhauls to forklifts (lpg, diesel and electric) all terrain and telehandlers. Work will include engine and transmission repairs, mast rebuilds and hydraulic repairs. Prepping of hire and new units will also be included in your date to date duties. You will have a strong drive, motivation and direction to succeed and be able to work in a safety conscious environment.

What we're looking for

As the successful candidate ideally you will possess the following skills:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, but not necessarily forklifts
  • Mechanical or auto electrician qualification
  • Familiar with engines, transmissions and hydraulic systems
  • Demonstrated good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong commitment to meeting customers' requirements
  • Excellent diagnostic and repair skills
  • Dedicated to maintaining a strong safety focus and excellent working conditions
  • Ability to work self-managing / autonomously

You will have a proactive approach to your work with demonstrated experience working in high performing teams and have a methodical approach to problem solving.
