About the job
Sodexo is currently seeking a Qualified Electrician to work across the Township of Weipa, you will be working to adhere to preventative and reactive maintenance schedules and ensure all electrical/refrigeration equipment is operational. This is a Full Time Maintenance Electrician position, with occasional on-call requirements, your point of hire will be Weipa Monday - Friday, 5:2 roster. This is NOT a FIFO position, relocation to Weipa will be required with a housing allowance provided.
You will be required to attend and repair all and any failures in a timely manner or as directed by the Sodexo Village Manager. You will record all inspections and repairs, complete preventative maintenance and inspections as per the agreed schedule on site, maintain minimum agreed parts, stock levels, and store inventory in a safe and clean environment. You must also adhere to all regulatory, company and client driven safety policies and procedures.
About you
You must hold a current relevant Trade Certificate and Unrestricted QLD Electrical Licence, current LVR/CPR and Open Manual Driver Licence.
You must have experience diagnosing, repairing and installing commercial, domestic and industrial systems, and have demonstrated experience in a unique working environment (long shifts in a dusty, hot location).
A current S1 'Apply Risk Management Processes' and previous remote Electrical/Refrigeration experience are advantageous for the role.
